Group email list

South Herts Hikers Group email list
To improve communication with members, the South Herts Hikers Group has introduced its own Group email list. This has become necessary because of changes in the way that Meetup works. We would like to invite you to sign up for our list. Please do not rely on Meetup notifications as the only way to get notifications of our events because this group may leave Meetup at the beginning of July 2025 so if you want to stay in contact you should either subscribe to our email list or follow our Facebook pages or both.
This has the following features:
- Each email will have a link so that you can unsubscribe at any time.
- We will send emails about new events announced or changes to planned events but not many messages, typically 2 - 4 per month.
- If you sign up for an event we may send additional emails or SMS messages (if you have given a mobile phone number) about arrangements for that event.
- We need to get members to sign up for the Group email list to get more members attending events and to help us to cover the Group’s running costs as we are not getting enough members attending via Meetup.
- The Group may leave Meetup early in July 2025 but we will continue independently and the email list will be the main way to keep in touch with members.
- You can also contact us via the contact form on this web site
